Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I’m 64 year old, mother of three adult kids and 5 grandkids.  My work takes me on the road, around 2,000 miles every couple of weeks.

What did your life look like before Stronger U? (Example: What were your eating habits like? Did you try other diets? What was your activity level like?)

I enjoyed eating whatever looked good. I would stop at gas stations on the road and stocked up on candy bars and pop.

What does your life look like now?

I look at food and life in a whole different way. My weight loss has made a huge difference in me. I am really watching what I eat now. 

Where did you hear about Stronger U?

My oldest daughter joined to see if it would work like promised with the goal of getting her dad on the program. She saw success with the program so my husband, Randy, and I decided to join.

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?

It taught me about food, and that you can’t just eat what willy nilly. It works and has made a huge difference in my life.

What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?

Potatoes, they are good and help me get my carbs in, most diets are not carb friendly or protein friendly.

If you exercise or train for a sport, did Stronger U have any impact on your training? Or did Stronger U have an impact on your decision to start exercising or training for a sport?

Not really, I do get out and walk once in a while though.

How much weight did you lose with Stronger U?

62 lbs

How many inches did you lose off your waist?

11.5 inches

Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?

I was able to hike the Arches in Utah, and up Bear Butte in South Dakota.

Has Stronger U improved your overall quality of life? If so, how?

Yes, I just feel better about myself and wearing clothes I have not worn in years.

Has Stronger U improved your overall health (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc)? If so, how?

That’s hard to answer, but I do know I have more energy every day.

If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?

This program will change your life. Don’t get discouraged with things. Just remember that every day is its own day and you will see results. 

Is there anything else you would like to add about your journey?

I had an awesome coach, she was there for me, and kept me motivated with encouragement.
