Tilapia is a mild fish readily found in grocery stores, but feel free to substitute it for any other mild white fish. Switch up the spices for a delicious twist, like curry powder and turmeric or ginger and garlic, for endless possibilities. Pair with this fresh, easy-to-make salad, and voila!
Tinfoil Tilapia with Salad
Makes four servings.

Fish Ingredients:
- 4 medium (~465g) tilapia filets
- 1 lemon, sliced
- ½ tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp (13g) olive oil
- ¼ cup (15g) parsley, chopped
- Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Salad Ingredients:
- 6 cups (330g) mixed greens
- ½ cup (71g)cucumber, chopped
- ½ cup (45g) parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp (20g) hemp seeds
- 3 tbsp (41g) olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation:
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Tear 4 pieces of aluminum foil, rough to wrap each fish filet.
- Arrange 2-3 lemon slices on each piece of foil, topped with tilapia.
- Sprinkle with chili flakes, garlic, and turmeric. Salt and pepper. Drizzle with oil and top with parsley.
- Fold the tilapia in the foil, crimping the edges.
- Transfer the fish to the grill, cooking for 10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily.
- Meanwhile, combine greens, cucumber, parsley, hemp seeds, olive oil and lemon in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the fish with salad and lemon wedges. Enjoy!
