Before and After Member Transformation

Tell us a little bit about yourself! 

I’m a mother of a four year old, who works full-time, and goes to school full-time! I truly enjoy every aspect of my life and have worked so hard to get where I am today!

What did your life look like before Stronger U?

Prior to SU, I simply ate to fuel my emotions, rather than fueling my body. I was full of excuses, and lacked any type of humility, refused to take responsibility for my actions, and where I was in life. I ate out often, I overate at each meal, I drank alcohol and sugary drinks. I did not have any knowledge of the consequences of the foods and drinks I was putting in my body. I threw money at almost every quick fix out there, and every time ended up blaming the program for my own failure. While I tried to workout, and felt like I wanted to, my body was simply not provided the adequate nutrition to support any kind of workout!

What does your life look like now? 

I keep busy and I have learned so much about my body. I can eat intuitively and know when I need to tighten things up a bit. I have learned true balance in my eating habits, my workouts and my lifestyle. I workout 6 times a week (because I genuinely ENJOY it!) and I eat a plant-based diet (because it works for me!). My biggest takeaway, however, is the amount of personal accountability and discipline that I have gained from SU.

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?

First, because I was in a place to accept that I was responsible for where my body was at. Second, because I wanted to CHANGE more than I wanted to stay the same Third, because this program allows you to realize the items above in order to recognize what needs to be done.

What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?

Ice Cream!

How much weight did you lose with Stronger U? 

100 pounds

How many inches did you lose off your waist?


Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?

That personal discipline, accountability, self-awareness and STRENGTH to say no!

Has Stronger U improved your overall quality of life?  

Absolutely. My SU journey did not just include food choices. My journey was all encompassing in my life – food, exercise, school, spirituality, and relationships.

Has Stronger U improved your overall health (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.)? If so, how? 

Oh you mean how I don’t have to monitor diabetes anymore?!

If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?

Make the choice to change. Make the choice to be responsible and receive feedback. Trust the process, and give yourself grace.
