Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I’m a constantly on-the-go working Mom and family physician with two young kids!
What did your life look like before Stronger U?
I try to balance work and life with staying present and preplanning my weekly schedule to make sure all the components of being a Mom and a physician are being met – but in the midst of the pandemic and juggling toddler life with my wonderful husband, I often found my nutrition the latter priority. I thought I was relatively active working out twice weekly with a personal training, getting in 5K runs or hiking in between, but despite many years of medical training didn’t have enough confidence in my nutrition knowledge – leaving me at a loss for how to best figure out what and how to eat!
What does your life look like now?
I am still always on-the-go with a packed schedule but feel freed from the stress and uncertainty of what and how to eat! Knowledge is power and SU’s ability to teach me how and what to eat has given me the power to eat well and mindfully! I now know how to plan nutrition in with all the other things and I physically feel so much better for it! It’s one of the easier things to manage relative to kid schedules and meeting my patients needs as a primary care doc!

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?
I’ve never tried any other programs or diets but the clear cut approach with specific goals paired with the flexibility to design my own food “Tetris” was key. I loved my coach and appreciated the accountability of weekly check ins as well as (if needed) daily support!
What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?

Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?
I get to wear old clothes that now fit me again!
Has Stronger U improved your overall quality of life?
Absolutely, I’m more confident able to focus on positive things that don’t cause the stress that uncertainty on how to manage my weight and nutrition caused previously. My body is better fueled, better hydrated, and better rested because I know how to take care of me!
Has Stronger U improved your overall health?
Yes! My % body fat dropped markedly in my body composition assessment.
If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?
It’s so worth it but can feel overwhelming at first. Don’t fight the program. Just give into it and follow it! It’s so much less stressful.
