Tell us a little bit about yourself!:
I’m a business owner & franchisee operating multiple businesses across multiple brands… one of which happens to be Anytime Fitness. I’ve been married to my best friend for almost 24 years, and I have two amazing kids who continue to make me proud every day.
What did your life look like before Stronger U?:
I’ve always worked out, but when it came to food, I was like a lot of folks out there. I would try to watch what I ate Monday through Friday (or maybe even Saturday), and then the wheels would come flying the “F” off, and I would binge. I would completely undo any of the hard work I had previously put in. I thought that I felt good, but looking back, I think my measuring stick was messed up. I think that I had forgotten what it was like to really feel good, so what I was comparing it to was keeping me from the drive I needed to progress. I was complacent.
What does your life look like now?:
Over time, I have completely changed my relationship with food which was an unintended benefit of joining Stronger U. I’ve been able to remove the “food noise” and listen to what my body is telling me. I have a newfound appreciation for the way healthy, nutrient-dense food makes me feel and for what it does for my performance. I’m able to enjoy the foods that used to send me into a tailspin of binging from guilt. I would eat a slice of pizza, look at it as “bad”, and then eat the entire box out of guilt and shame. Now, I can appreciate the treats and the place they have in my life. I approach them with moderation and mindfulness. I enjoy them every now and again, and then I move on. I can enjoy myself more in social settings because I know I’ve engrained the healthy habits needed to enjoy myself in moderation during those times and then get back on track. Changing how I fuel and feed my body has helped in too many areas of my life to list, but if I could sum it up, I would say that I am reverse aging and undoing tendencies that will never serve me in my goals.
Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?:
Its simple, common-sense approach makes it super easy to understand and implement, but you have to be willing to do the work.
What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?:
Tate’s Chocolate Chip Cookies. Frozen Yogurt. Cereal…. Cereal is life!

Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?:
I just feel better!
Has Stronger U positively impacted you professionally?:
Stronger U has had a huge impact on me professionally. I consider myself an aggressive entrepreneur and Stronger U has helped me learn how to use food to fuel performance, cognitive improvement, sleep, and productivity. All the things that food really should do!
Has Stronger U improved your overall health? If so, how?:
I am reverse aging. My bio age dropped by 1 year.
If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?:
Trust the process. If you’re honest with yourself, follow your coach’s advice, treat your body right, and just move…. you will see results and you’ll learn the skills that will carry you beyond your session. Consistency is the key.
