Tell us a little bit about yourself!:
I’m 49 years old. I have been married for 25 years (celebrated 25 this year) and have three kids (1 son and two girls). My family is my everything and my WHY. I am a VP of Sales at a software company, and when I’m not working with my team or my customers, I enjoy working out, doing yoga, reading a good book, or spending time in nature.
What did your life look like before Stronger U?:
Fitness has been a part of my lifestyle for a good bit of time now. I know you can’t outwork a bad diet and know about tracking macros and all that fun stuff, but occasionally I find that simply having an accountability partner to help me maintain consistency is key for keeping me on track. I have tried many different diets over the years, but I have found that tracking my macros, working out consistently, drinking plenty of water, finding ways to de-stress, and getting plenty of rest is the most foolproof plan for staying on track.
What does your life look like now?:
Over time, I have evolved my relationship with food from comfort and pleasure to focusing purely on food as fuel. I do have more energy, and there are not many days where I don’t feel like working out. Most days, I look forward to that hour in the gym or on the trail. Stronger U and Coach Joe have been an integral part of my long-term success. Joe has excellently served as a guide and helped me stay within the necessary guardrails.
Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?:
I think the best thing about Stronger U is that the keys are in my hands. I can do whatever I want, but I know that if I want to feel great, have the energy to perform, and lose/maintain my weight, I have to stay aligned with the goals set forth in the Stronger U program and the directions that Coach Joe provides at our check-in.
What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?:
Chocolate Chip Cookies….They are my biggest weakness, but I found that I did not have to give them up in order to achieve my goals.

Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?:
I was able to shop in my closet. When we first came out of the pandemic, a lot of my suits were a little “snug.” Now they all fit great again!!
Has Stronger U positively impacted you professionally?:
I definitely have more confidence professionally because I feel better. I’ve been excited to share my experience with Stronger U with others when they ask about how I lost weight.
Has Stronger U improved your overall health? If so, how?:
Overall, I have maintained all my key health markers. No dramatic drops/increases on any of those numbers.
If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?:
Go in with an open mind. Be prepared to be challenged. Share your goals with your coach, and take heed to the advice they are providing, but also be vocal enough to share when things might not be working as you expected. I have found that when I share these things with Joe, he has a good listening ear, and has adapted my plan when necessary.
