Who was your Coach?
If there was one thing you could say to your Coach, what would it be?
You are my rock and confidant!!
Tell us a little about you. Where are you from? Are you a parent? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I am a 50-year-old mom of a 16-year-old daughter and 5-year-old English Bulldog. I have been married to my husband Sean for 23 years! I am originally from Long Island, but moved to the DC suburbs in 1995 for my husband’s job. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, walking and reading in my free time.
What was the moment that made you decide to join Stronger U?
I decided that I wanted to enter my 50th year on this planet at least 50 lbs. lighter than where I was. 50 before 50, became 60 before 50!

My coach Kate!! I also want to thank Ericka Good for introducing me to this amazing program and way of life!
What dieting experience did you have previous to Stronger U?
I tried them all, Weight Watchers, Beachbody, trying to cut back and nothing worked!
What were your eating habits like before joining Stronger U? Did you prep your meals? Did you eat out regularly? Did you think you were already eating healthy and in moderation?
I cook a lot but wasn’t watching portion sizes and my sweet tooth was out of control. I didn’t realize how big my portions were until I started measuring.
Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?
I think that pre-planning is key! Other diets have accountability, but not like SU – having someone look over my week carefully made me much more mindful.
What was the biggest challenge or change when you first started with Stronger U?
I really didn’t feel challenged – I embraced the change and loved feeling in control over my eating for the first time in my life!
What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?
I eat Greek yogurt with chocolate chips every night before bed. The Greek yogurt gives me the protein to stay satiated and the chocolate chips hit my sweet tooth! I also never changed my coffee creamer – 2 tablespoons of Natural Bliss every morning in my iced coffee – these things were staples that get me through every day!
What does your typical week of eating look like? How many days a week do you meal prep? Do you have certain meals you make most often?
I don’t meal prep, but I plan each night before bed for the next day. We have Chicken Rice Bowls weekly, I just swap my rice for cauliflower rice!
If you exercise or train for a sport, did Stronger U have any impact on your training? Or did Stronger U have an impact on your decision to start exercising or training for a sport?
I did not exercise during the time I was losing weight. I am now starting to incorporate a lot more walking and weight workouts. I am doing this because I like feeling strong!
How much weight did you lose with Stronger U?
How did your waist measurements change with Stronger U?
I lost 9 inches from my waist.
What were 3 major non-scale victories you experienced with Stronger U?
I am off two Blood Pressure Medications, My wedding rings fit again and I can do workout moves like burpees now!
Outside of the scale, inches, and previously mentioned NSV’s, how has your life improved thanks to your time with Stronger U?
I feel so much stronger. I used to get really winded walking up the hill in front of my house. Now I can do it without any issue at all!
What are 3 tips, based on your experience, that you’d give to new members of Stronger U to help them see success early on?
Pre-plan your meals, eat only what you pre-planned and take the photos!!
If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?
Take a leap of faith! New things can be scary, but you won’t be sorry for joining this amazing program and community – it has changed my life!
