Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Hi! I’m Sara, a stay-at-home mom. I have two sweet boys, Forde (2) and Trace (4). My husband, Stefan, is an active duty service member and we currently live on a little island off the coast of Southern California. I enjoy all the things the good weather and our small town has to offer, tons of beach trips, lots of outdoor time, parks, and good food. In my spare time (which currently there is little to none – hello preschoolers!) I love a good book, an endorphin vacation through my peloton, a long walk with a good podcast, a great movie, or anything else to help my brain unwind.

What did you life look like before Stronger U?

Prior to Stronger U, I had pretty much tried it all when it came to diets – Whole 30, Paleo, WW, Fasting, Low Carb, No Carb, etc. Nothing ever felt doable long term and I would throw in the towel pretty early.

Add in emotional eating, a pandemic, IVF, pregnancy, breastfeeding, multiple deployments, and some more emotional eating and I knew I needed a serious change!

What does your life look like now?

Stronger U gave me all the tools I needed to succeed. I am confident about the choices I make regarding food, thrilled with how I feel during workouts, and am feeling confident in my skin again.

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?

I never had to stop eating the foods I enjoyed, nothing was ever “off-limits”. I found it it easy to make adjustments to the foods my family was already eating to fit into my macros.

I also enjoyed having a coach to be accountable to and weekly check-ins to see all the data right in front of me.

What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?

I did my last round of Stronger U while my husband was deployed. Meals had to be quick, preschooler friendly, and have minimal to no clean-up. Burger Monday, Taco Tuesday, and Pizza Friday were (and still are!) on regular rotation. We still have pancakes for breakfast almost daily and popcorn and ice cream on movie nights. All planned, tracked, and enjoyed!

Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?

I just feel comfortable in my body again. I love that I can wear pants from college and that I enjoy bathing suit shopping but there is something about just feeling GOOD again that I can’t explain!
