Before and After Member Transformation

Tell us a little bit about yourself! 

I’m 48 and live in Baltimore with my fiancé and pup Zula. I work in International Public Health and love to hike, bike, run and hang out with friends!


What did your life look like before Stronger U?

I was always an athlete. I was a gymnast when I was young, played soccer, worked out. I tired every diet under the sun. WW, low carb, Keto, Beachbody, no white foods and I would lose weight and then gain it all back. When I found Stronger U I was the heaviest I have ever been and my blood work was terrible. I was having pains in my legs and back and was really unhappy.


What does your life look like now? 

SU changed my life. My coach and the community are amazing. I didn’t just lose weight, I learned to love myself again. I learned how to eat, how to not be afraid of food, how to eat to fuel my workouts. How to be kind to myself. It has been transformational for me. I am faster, stronger and lighter but most of all, I am HAPPY!

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?

I didn’t have to cut out any food groups. It took away the guilt associated with food. It taught me the right amounts to eat. It wasn’t judgy and I didn’t have to be perfect. If I have an off day, I don’t have to completely throw in the towel. I just get back on track the next day. My entire life has changed.


What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?

Pizza!!! And Steak!!!


How much weight did you lose with Stronger U? 

40 lbs.

How many inches did you lose off your waist?

9 inches


Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?

I don’t hide behind people in pictures anymore! I walk on the beach in a bikini and feel great! I can run faster and without pain!


Has Stronger U improved your overall quality of life?  

Everything is easier. Walking, running, socializing. I’m just so much happier and healthier.

Has Stronger U improved your overall health? 

Oh yes. I had high blood pressure, cholesterol, and was borderline pre-diabetic. Now, all my blood work is great and my blood pressure is perfect!

If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?

Trust the process. It works. Once you get the hang of it it’s easy. The community is the best place on the internet.


Would you like to give a shoutout to your coach, SU staff member, or community member?

Tracie is the most amazing coach. She’s smart, kind and funny. She’s so supportive and we have the same sense of humor. Also Mike is an incredible human. This place rocks!
