Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I am a Colorado Native and mom of 2 boys, 11 and 6. I love all things outdoors; hiking, exploring, snowboarding and white-water rafting to name a few. I have been doing CrossFit for 4 years now and absolutely love it. Both my boys play hockey which keeps me extra busy in the Winter, but I love watching them play!
What did your life look like before Stronger U?
I grew up in the generation of stick think models, Cosmo magazine, diet fads, etc.. I was always more curvy, so I developed a complex pretty early on, that I still struggle with today. I definitely have a dysfunctional relationship with food and before Stronger U, I ate pretty healthy honestly, but I did drink more alcohol than I probably should have, and definitely ate a lot of foods that I thought were healthy, and over ate! I used to do Zumba and always like cardio, I had started CrossFit about 2 years before starting Stronger U as well. Many people have told me I worked out too much, again, goes back to that “must be stick thin complex”.
What does your life look like now?
Now I have a better understanding of which foods work best for my body. I eliminated dairy which was a major component in my gut health. I would like to think I have a healthier relationship with food now too. Managing my eating has also helped me to achieve more goals in CrossFit and this Summer I competed in not only my first CrossFit competition, but 5 of them since July!

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?
Having a coach kept me more accountable. It is easy to cheat when the only person checking in on you is you!
What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?
Carbs!
How much weight did you lose with Stronger U?
26 pounds
Did you have any favorite non-scale victories to share?
When I would go to get dressed, and NONE of my pants fit, all too big!
Has Stronger U improved your overall quality of life?
I think so! I am healthier than I have ever been. To me healthy is happy!
If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?
Be prepared to make life long changes, this is not a fad diet.
