Meet Dr. Jess
Dr. Jess is the Director of Nutrition Education at Stronger U. Armed with almost two decades of clinical and academic experience in dietetics, Dr. Jess leads our team of coaches in implementing the Stronger U methodology to maximize members’ results while building their nutrition IQ!
Rooted in science, the Stronger U program leverages an evidence-based approach that cuts through nutrition misinformation and prioritizes fundamental nutrition education for our members.
Dr. Jess has her Ph.D. in Nutrition with a concentration in Exercise Science from The University of Tennessee and is a Registered Dietitian.

We call them coaches because “bad habit-bulldozers” and “self-doubt-obliterators” got a little long.
So, what makes someone ‘Stronger U Coach’ material? Well, it starts with an obsessive drive to help people live healthier, happier lives. Personable? Check. Approachable? Yes. Just plain nice? Of course. But they also need to have some serious experience, a whole lot of training and some really impressive credentials.
Stronger U coaches have one or a combination of the following degrees and/or certifications:
> Registered Dietitian (RD)
> BS degree in nutrition or other life science
> Nutrition certification
No templates, no meal plans, no off-limit foods. Your Stronger U coach knows exactly how to design a custom nutrition plan built around what works for you.
What are your goals?
Are you trying to lose weight? Have more energy throughout the day? Build a better relationship with food? All of the above? We’ll make a plan to help you achieve your goals and make them attainable for a lifetime.
Where are your challenges?
What are the things that have contributed to failure in the past? Maybe you don’t like veggies, struggle on the weekends, or hate working out. Accounting for these personal pain points (hey, we all have them) will help design a path that’s right for you.
What do you love?
Are you someone who really, really enjoys breakfast? Or maybe no breakfast? Are tacos a staple? Your coach will help incorporate things you love into your program because it is so much easier to stick to a plan when you actually enjoy it.
