If there was one thing you could say to your Coach, what would it be?

Thank you for helping me change my life and teaching me to be accountable. Your patience and ability to know what I needed when I needed it made all the difference! 

Tell us a little about you. Where are you from? Are you a parent? What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Originally from New Jersey, I’m now a Texan.  I’m happily married to my Macro friendly husband Joe, and we’ve raised 3 beautiful boys.  Our free time is usually spent cheering them on during their wrestling matches and spending time together enjoying our family and friends. 

What was the moment that made you decide to join Stronger U?

During Hurricane Harvey we must have finished off a bottle of wine a day.  I had reached maximum capacity and knew it was time to take control of my life. After talking to friends who were veterans to SU, I just knew I was ready. You have to be ready! 

Is there anyone from the SU community you would like to shout out?

A big shout out to Betsy Lunny and Nicole Goldsmith who continue to be my inspiration.  In addition, all of my friends and family that I’ve referred. I will continue to support you and cheer you on.  Joe Good, my man, for always being a MACRO FRIENDLY man. And lastly, Kenny. I will forever be thankful. 💕

What dieting experience did you have previous to Stronger U? 

I was a Yo-Yo dieter who would try anything.  The truth is, I never found anything that really made sense.  Well, until SU. 

What were your eating habits like before joining Stronger U? Did you prep your meals? Did you eat out regularly? Did you think you were already eating healthy and in moderation?

I worked out regularly but never seemed to find the diet that worked.  Weight Watchers was a got to, but It just never worked. And because I exercised, I thought I could eat whatever I wanted. You know, I ate well and worked out during the week, and I celebrated on the weekends.  

Why do you think Stronger U worked so well for you compared to other programs or diets?

From the minute you start SU, there is a support system in place.  The Facebook page is an awesome resource and extremely motivating. From day one, I began to see changes in my body.  By the end of just my practice week, I could feel my body releasing. I love that word… RELEASING! 

What was the biggest challenge or change when you first started with Stronger U?

Wine! Let me say that again… Wine! I love it. I quickly realized it loves me too!!! Listen, everything in moderation. I do my best to make good choices, be consistent and stay on track. It’s tough sometimes but so are a lot of things in life. It always comes down to choices. 

What was something you regularly ate while on Stronger U that people wouldn’t expect you to eat on a diet?

A Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich! I do my best to fit it in each day.  I love it!  

What does your typical week of eating look like? How many days a week do you meal prep? Do you have certain meals you make most often?

I’m not a big meal prepper and try to keep things pretty simple.  For example, I usually eat the same breakfast every day, Fat-Free Vanilla Greek Yogurt with Chocolate Cheerios on top.  I pick one meal to make every day for lunch, a quick easy snack like rice cakes and laughing cow cheese and a normal family dinner. Like I said, I have three teenage boys that like to eat. I planned regular family meals and adjust my other meals to make it work. If it didn’t, I was already ready with the old standbys… Grilled Chicken, a sweet potato and broccoli.  I enjoy it so it wasn’t a problem. 

If you exercise or train for a sport, did Stronger U have any impact on your training? Or did Stronger U have an impact on your decision to start exercising or training for a sport?

Like I said, I always exercised.  But doing SU while working out made a huge impact on my fitness life and I started to see the results I was looking for. 

How much weight did you lose with Stronger U?

My start weight was 158 when I made the call.  After one year, I weighed in at 113. Probably lower than I needed to be but WOW!!! 

How did your waist measurements change with Stronger U? 

That was one thing I wasn’t great at.  But I was down to a 27/28 waist. It was crazy. 

What were 3 major non-scale victories you experienced with Stronger U?

I had more energy, more confidence, and felt so much more in control of how I ate! 

Outside of the scale, inches, and previously mentioned NSV’s, how has your life improved thanks to your time with Stronger U?

I am so aware of food, how it fuels my body and how it can hurt it too.  Let’s face it, you really can’t be on 100% of the time. But after SU, I know what needs to be done when mistakes happen or I get off track.  That’s the beauty of it!

What are 3 tips, based on your experience, that you’d give to new members of Stronger U to help them see success early on?

  1. LISTEN TO YOUR COACH
  2. Keep it simple in the beginning
  3. Believe in yourself 

If someone is thinking about joining Stronger U, what advice would you give them before beginning their journey?

You too can be happy.  JUST DO IT!
